      • That we have many new families interested in attending our school as we begin open enrollment for the next school year.

    • Prayer:
      • Continue to pray for Hudson—there are still two cancerous spots on his lungs, which may require chemotherapy if they’re still present on his next set of scans.

Ruth Veltkamp—Set Free Ministries (Nigeria)

  • Praise:
    • For our travel agent. When we needed to get Abdul and family from Tunis to Senegal, we knew that the road could be hazardous with many check points along the way. So we contacted our trusty travel agent who usually books plane tickets for us and always gives us the best prices, often with no profit for himself.  This time he was able to book overland travel as well, making sure that Abdul and the “conductor” had all the official papers needed.  He even put in some money of his own to pay for food along the way. Why? According to him, whenever he helped us, God blessed him!
    • For happy returns. Our friend Jonah had a wife who left him when he converted to Christianity. She has rejoined him and has converted as well.
  • Prayer:
    • For comfort and provision to the families of three recent converts to Christianity. We learned that three of our friends who attended a Christian conference in Tunis and brought a Christian teacher to their hometown of Dubai have all been killed and their families scattered. Pray for the comfort and care of these families.
    • For God to establish wise rulers in Sudan, where the dictator has been overthrown.

Steve and Dawn Liberti—NAB Conference/Proclaim Ministries (Germany/Global)

      • Praise:
        • For a very fruitful time of ministry in South Africa. Dawn returned there for two weeks in mid-February with our ministry partner Monte Cristo, serving and witnessing to the poorest of the poor in the slums near Paarl.
        • For a wonderful time of connections, fellowship and spiritual renewal at the Ima Nade Missions Conference in Croatia. Dr. Tim Savage, one of the founders of The Gospel Coalition, was the keynote speaker.
      • Prayer:
        • For Steve’s mom, Mary, who is entering another level of care needs. We want to honor our parents and we will need to make some big decisions regarding her care in the near future. Also and more importantly, please pray for her salvation.
        • Please pray for ministry plans for the spring, summer and fall. Steve is working hard on so many opportunities this year to help our partners in Croatia, Serbia and Albania in reaching their communities for Christ Jesus. Plans are coming together!

Thamsing and Ring Dilbung—Church Sports International/Sports Resource Center (East India)

    • Praise:
      • For the success of the mission conference in Manipur. 31 Baptist churches attended January 16-18 in a town at the Indo-Myanmar border. Only 7 of the 31 churches had formalized their mission, and the conference focused on our “Vision Casting” approach so those churches can start their own mission.
      • For the success of a three-day Sports Ministry conference in Manipur. 37 church leaders attended! We drafted and submitted an application to the Youth and Sports Minister to recognize and implement Sports Chaplaincy. Pray that the government will approve this submission—Manipur is a small state, but ranks number one for sports in all of India.
      • For the Youth Gospel Olympics in Kohima in February. Organized by Baptist Youth Fellowship, the event featured Thamsing as a Special Guest during the opening ceremonies!
    • Prayer:
      • For the success of an upcoming five-day Pastors Leadership Training in late March, in the town of Ghaspani.
      • For God’s anointing of this year’s Passion Week, April 5-12. Three Baptist Churches in Manipur are combining their church services on the theme of the last seven words Jesus spoke from the cross. Thamsing will present. Pray for wisdom and guidance.
