Daren and Jodi Beck—ACTION International (Cambodia)

    • Praise:
      • For the ongoing work of the translation and the social media team who continues to have fruitful ministry during this season of sheltering in place. 
      • For His faithful provision for our needs during these difficult times, we’re so grateful for the faithful prayers and support of LHCC!
    • Prayer:
      • For our teammates Ryan and Rebekah Queywho are still in Japan after the birth of their baby Samuel. Travel back to Cambodia is restricted; pray for wisdom!
      • For usas we update our registration with the government. It has become increasingly difficult to maintain our visas.

  • Frank Erb—Capitol Commission (USA)
    • Praise:
      • That our weekly online Bible Study Discussions through the Gospel of John, Discipleship Training, and personal prayer and counseling, have been going well and bearing fruit with state legislators, legislative staff, lobbyists, state employees, and others.
      • That our son Lucas graduated from college and is scheduled to begin a new job in Southern California in October.
      • That our daughter Hannah’s husband Ryan got a new job working in a science laboratory in Livermore. 
    • Prayer:
      • For God to continue to open many new doors for life-changing ministry to state leaders and others.
      • For healing for my ongoing neck pain possibly caused by a spinal curvature problem.

Henry and Grace Banda—YOLEDS (Youth Leadership Development in Sport) (Malawi)

  • Praise:
    • For keeping us safe even in the time of the pandemic.
    • For allowing us the opportunity to share the Gospel to our church members during this difficult time.
  • Prayer:
    • For peace in our country. The last presidential elections were marred by allegations of fraud, resulting in violence. The courts threw out the results, and we have just had the new presidential election.
    • For God to provide opportunities as Malawi eases its restrictions.
    • Pray for the success of our planned sports ministry programs as they restart.

Jay and Karen—Dynamic Church Planting International (Worldwide)

 

    • Praise
      • For the success of the livestreamed House Church Planting training with 20 people from Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Hungary, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Canada and USA. Jay co-led the training, which will plant churches in even more countries—including Indonesia, which is close to our hearts.   
      • That an $11,000 grant was awarded to DCPI for our newArabic House Church Planting (HCP) online training. Karen is thankful to have been a part of this grant writing team.
    • Prayer:
      • For the completion of the final steps to have this online ArabicHouse Church Planting track available for the Arabic-speaking world that needs this training.  
      • For the completion of DCPI goals for 2020 is to have trained in all the countries of the world. On January 1, 56 countries remained. With the pandemic changing our plans, we are only down to 49. Please pray for divine connections so that training may happen and churches are planted!

Kennedy Salano—316 Transformational Sports Ministry (East Africa)

      • Praise:
        • For His divine protection during these difficult times.
        • For the opportunity to serve through compassion ministry to the people in our community 
      • Prayer
        • For Continuous divine protection and wisdom to serve after easing of lockdown in Kenya.
        • For God’s intervention in the lives of many coaches and players we minister to.

  • Lincoln Christian Academy (formerly Community Christian School), Lincoln, CA (USA)
    • Praise:
      • That God has provided the ability to support all students in their distance learning through teaching videos, Zoom meetings and individual calls. 
      • For the support of our community when plans changed during Phase 2 to modify our school day into two sessions to support families.
      • That we plan to be able to finish the 2019-2020 school with concept mastery and begin the 2020-2021 school year as scheduled.
    • Prayer:
      • Continue to pray for Hudson, the second grader fighting cancer.
      • For our leadership as we seek God’s vision for the future of LCA and that God will provide the support of both the community and new leadership to help us accomplish His will.

    • Michael and Irina—Slavic Gospel Association (Eastern Europe)  
      • Praise:
        • That Covid-19 is developing more slowly in this part of the world.
        • That we have been able to help people in the community one-on-one, even during the pandemic.
      • Prayer:
        • For God’s providence as the people we support have often been out of work for months.
        • For opportunities to serve the Lord when this part of the world opens up again.

  • Paul and Grace MosesIndia Sports Ministry/Sangita Charitable Trust (India)

        • Praise:
          • For the success of Zoom video calls in the sports ministry. We have been able to train dozens of leaders and hundreds of families all across the region during the pandemic. 
          • For the inspiring stories given by high-profile athletes as part of our curriculum.
        • Prayer:
          • For wisdom and guidance as we plan to do both the regular widows’ ministry and the Covid relief to the tribal groups. We plan to integrate the tribals’ ministry into Sangita’s ongoing efforts.
          • For our daughter Shiny, who is carrying her second baby, due in November.  She finds it difficult to work from home while caring for her six-month-old.  Please pray for her health and the health of the baby she’s carrying.

Ruth Veltkamp—Set Free Ministries (Nigeria)

  • Praise:
    • That Abdul and all of his family members have completely recovered from their covid-19 infection.
  • Prayer:
    • For Abdul, who has returned to his home in North Africa and is now teaching friends and relatives the Way of Jesus. May his ministry bear fruit for eternity.
    • For the safe return of a new Christian, who recently left Islam to follow Jesus, and was kidnapped. Pray for his safety and release. Pray for good to overcome evil, including the good of the salvation and transformation of his kidnappers.

Steve and Dawn Liberti—NAB Conference/Proclaim Ministries (Germany/Global)

      • Praise:
        • For limitations and restriction being lifted here in Europe. Due to the borders opening up between European Union countries, we can now travel freely to many places where we are working for the Gospel to move forward. Flights are beginning to increase as well to other places, including our area of focus in the Balkan countries.
        • For good health for our family.
        • That God provided our oldest daughter Bianca a place to stay when her university shut down.
        • That our youngest daughter Sofia will join Bianca at Taylor University in the fall. Thank you God for providing an amazing opportunity for our girls!
      • Prayer:
        • For a series of smaller evangelistic outreach events here in Germany that will take place in homes, backyards, and small community centers. Our goal is to support small churches and house groups in sharing The Gospel and helping our partners build relationships will the goal of on-going contact and ultimately discipleship.
        • Please pray for plans moving forward for a city-wide evangelistic outreach in Slovanski Brod, Croatia. We are continuing to invest time, energy and resources to this important campaign in spite of the limitations and restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are also still projecting a major project for Albania as well in the fall.

  • Sacramento Valley Teen Challenge (USA)
        • Praise:
          • That our students are doing well and continue to grow in the Lord!
          • For every donor, prayer partner, and volunteer who are standing with us during this time.
        • Prayers:
          • For the Lord’s continued protection for our staff and students from this virus.
          • For the Lord’s provision for Teen Challenge during this challenging time. It now appears that we will be unable to hold any of our Fall Banquets. For wisdom and new, creative ideas to fundraise for the ministry.

Thamsing and Ring Dilbung—Church Sports International/Sports Resource Center (East India)

    • Praise:
      • That we have so far had no cases of Covid-19 in Nagaland, though we are on lockdown.
      • For the support and prayers of LHCC during this horrible time. 
    • Prayer:
      • For those we serve to be moved through prayer. Although Nagaland hasn’t been affected, we cannot travel, gather, or go anywhere. We do not have the technology here to hold Zoom calls or even call others.
      • That the pandemic’s death toll will be minimized throughout the world.
