  • Frank Erb—Capitol Commission (USA)
    • Praise:
      • That the ongoing teaching of God’s word in the Capitol is bearing fruit in leaders’ lives and many are obviously maturing in Christ.
      • That our daughter and her husband just celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary, and they also both just received great new job offers that will help them as they move forward in marriage.
      • That our only son, Lucas, who is attending college in Southern California is slowly getting healthier and has been able to start a demanding summer internship job that he was looking forward to.
    • Prayers:
      • For guidance as I am inviting people to join a ministry team to serve with me on a regular basis to further the ministry in the Capitol and beyond. Praying God brings many and uses us together to help many to know and grow in the Lord.

      • That the Lord will continue to open doors for me to share the Good News of Jesus with many more high-level leaders.

  • Lincoln Christian Academy (formerly Community Christian School), Lincoln, CA (USA)
    • Praise:
      • That our regular school year went well and our summer program is in full swing for both the preschool and elementary.  We are so thankful to be on our own campus this summer.
      • That our elementary enrollment has increased over last year by a few students, but we are continuing to receive inquiries and tours and expect to be up 10% over last year.  Our first fall preschool class at our new home campus is almost full and we anticipate filling up our second class as fall approaches.
    • Prayer:
      • For Hudson, a second grader, who is in the hospital fighting off an infection which is causing a high fever. He has been enduring another chemo treatment as he continues to fight cancer.  Please pray for healing.
      • For wisdom for our leadership as we reflect and review our mission, values, and purpose.  Also, pray for opportunities to bless our community through acts of service appropriate for the ages of kindergarten through eighth grade!
    •

    • Michael and Irina—Slavic Gospel Association (Eastern Europe)

  • Paul and Grace MosesIndia Sports Ministry/Sangita Charitable Trust (India)
      • Special Notice:
        • India is in a severe water crisis, especially the Chennai area. At great expense, the Sangita Charitable Trust drilled for water to create a “borewell.” But after drilling down 400 feet, no water could be found. Sangita is buying water for their ministry, which is very expensive. Please pray for an end to the water crisis, and for Sangita to receive what they need to tide over their staff and the people they support.
      • Prayer:
        • For peace and healing for our daughter Shiny. She was married in December and is four months pregnant, but is haunted by nightmares of losing the baby—which may be due to our loss of our daughter Sangita 28 years ago. She is a great believer and loves Jesus very much, but is nonetheless fearful. Pray for the fears and nightmares to stop, and for a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy.

Ruth Veltkamp—Set Free Ministries (Nigeria)

  • Praise:
    • For a conference in North Africa that was successful beyond expectations. 130 Arab/African Christians from thirteen different countries encouraged each other in the Lord. 60 were baptized and 71 participated together in the Lord’s Supper. Thank God for safe travel for all to and from the conference.  Thank God for miraculous unity in the Spirit during the weeks they spent together.
    • For Princess’ safe journey to Nigeria. Princess was not able to stay in Sudan because she was pursued even in that “safe” place by someone trying to harm her. Give thanks for making Princess’ rescue to Nigeria possible. She is now with a group of IMANI women who appreciate her God-given skills and are caring for her and her two little girls.
  • Prayer:
    • For safety of the Christian believers in Mali. Since early June, Christians in Mali have been hunted down, even to their homes, by Islamist terrorists. Two believers have been martyred. Pray for a Pillar of Fire to come between these Christians and their pursuers. May the pursuers be blinded by the powerful Light of God until they come to see the Truth, as did Saul of Tarsus. May God comfort those who mourn and empower them to forgive with the power that overcomes evil.
    • For healing for Neza, the leader of the ministry among widows and orphans. She is covered boil-like sores all over her body. She is now in the hospital. Pray for a powerful blessing of encouragement and a miracle of healing.
    • For strength and wisdom during challenging times. During the North Africa conference, four learned Muslim scholars came to ask questions and then to challenge the answers!  Some of the new believers started becoming confused. But after the conference five IMANI leaders met together to write out answers to the challenging questions. These answers were then sent to all the conferees and the Muslim scholars. Pray for God to continue to give IMANI leaders wisdom and unity as they give reasons for their faith in Christ. May God continue to strengthen the Christians and also open the hearts and minds of Muslims to the Truth.

      • Praise:
        • For an opportunity to come to America for six weeks this summer to re-connect with friends, family and supporters. We will be in the U.S. from July 10 to August 19. We then head to Indiana to leave Bianca at Taylor University. Please pray that we will have opportunities to spend time with as many people as possible and be an encouragement to those we connect with.
        • That we have had so many people offer their homes and vehicles for us to use during our visit to America. He has provided for us and proved Himself faithful once again!
        • For the news that a young man Steve had the opportunity to witness to in Albania has entered The Kingdom and is currently proving to be a disciple of Jesus Christ with his zeal, enthusiasm and commitment to his local church and his walk with The Lord. Thank you God for allowing us see and experience this fruit!
        • For a wonderful connection to a German couple who we recently had the opportunity to spend some time with talking about life, challenges and spiritual things.
        • For a wonderful conference called “Thron” that occurred last week at our German Church called G5. This was a worship conference where about 750 people came to be encouraged, refreshed and to have an encounter with The Holy Spirit! Praise God for the commitment of the church to host this conference!
      • Prayer:
        • For our Proclaim Team currently in Croatia and Serbia coming alongside local churches and helping with evangelistic efforts outside the walls of the church. Pray for many connections that lead to discipleship opportunities.
        • For planning currently underway for an evangelistic campaign to Albania that Steve will lead late October and early November. Pray for recruitment of the team, logistics, our partners and of course that many would come to saving faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
        • For our oldest daughter Bianca as she embarks on the next phase of life, attending Taylor University in Indiana this coming fall. This is a big change for her and our family as she spread her wings and moves into young adulthood. Pray for God’s leading, direction and His hand on her life in these coming years.
        • For Steve’s mother Mary and Dawn’s mother Marilyn as their care needs increase in these later years.

Thamsing and Ring Dilbung—Church Sports International/Sports Resource Center (East India)

      • Praise:
        • For the success of the Sports Ministry Leadership Training (SMLT) at Kohima, June 4-9. 29 leaders—mostly youth leaders—participated. It was the first sports ministry training for the Rongmei people in Nagaland! Soon after the training, the Rongmei Association leaders decided to launch Sports Ministry under the youth department in all 32 Churches under their association. Praise the Lord!
        • For the sports ministry-led Bible study, initiated under the Dimapur District Football Association at the Dimapur Stadium Youth Hostel. Though only 63 soccer players attended, two Hindu boys accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. We greatly rejoiced! Please pray for them so that they will not backslide, instead grow in the Lord.
      • Prayer:
        • For the Sports Bible to be completed in time. Pray also for additional funds to finish the printing and distribution.
        • For safety and guidance as Thamsing plans to attend a six-day Pastoral Leadership Training in Imphal, Manipur, from 25-31 July
        • For the success of a future five-day introduction to Church Sports Leadership Training, from 19-24 August at Kingdom Sports Academy in Dimapur. We expect about 20-25 participants. Pray that we can bring the right candidates to be trained for sports ministry.
