    • That we are encouragedby all that God continues to do in Cambodia, specifically through Shalom Mission Cambodia, and brought to light through a recent article in World Magazine.
    • That Chhinho Saingwill become our Field Director this next month! It will be good to serve alongside and under the leadership of our Khmer colleagues.
    • For fruitful International Councilmeetings with ACTION in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Daren was affirmed for another three-year term as the Associate International Director for our worldwide team. We were also blessed to stop by The Master’s University to see Kamryn…and got to see her perform in a theater production!

  • Frank Erb—Capitol Commission (USA)
    • Praise:
      • For the beginnings of recovery for the Erbs’ son, Lucas. Lucas was ill in Southern California, where he attends university, and the doctors were unable to find what was wrong. He traveled to Sacramento, where the doctors here diagnosed him with an unusually severe viral infection. He was in the hospital in Roseville, where he was on IV fluids, and gradually got stronger and was able to eat. He has been released and is now home.
    • Prayers:
      • For Lucas’s continued recovery. He is physically and emotionally exhausted. Frank and Val continue to ask for prayers and encouragement for Lucas.
      • That meeting rooms in the State Capitol for Bible Study will continue to be available.

Henry and Grace Banda—YOLEDS (Youth Leadership Development in Sport) (Malawi)

Friends: a couple of months ago, the Bandas suffered a disaster when their roof was blown off in a storm, and the house and many of their possessions ruined by the heavy rains that came in. Fortunately, the family was not injured. Please pray for them as they recover from this disaster.

    • Praise:
      • For God’s faithfulness to me as I celebrate my 77th Jesus challenged his disciples to go the extra mile and then demonstrated what he meant when he walked the road to Calvary. These are Jesus’s instructions: going the extra mile is hard on the ears and even harder to carry out. With prayer, hard work, and encouragement from my beloved friends and family—in particular my beloved wife Grace—I have walked that way…and I have found Jesus already there. I have been mindful that the ultimate “extra-miler” walking beside me is Jesus; He has helped me to carry the load all my life.
    • Prayers:
      • For peaceful elections in Malawi as our nation prepares for a vote on May 21.
      • For strength and wisdom as I have been appointed to organize a Sports Chaplaincy Conference for Malawi.
      • For God’s provision of funds as I organize the sports chaplaincy.
      • For restoration and repairs of the damage done by the recent cyclone that hit Malawi.

Jay and Karen—Dynamic Church Planting International (Worldwide)

  • Praise:
    • That we are now fully funded—and at a sustainable level! The immediate future holds many opportunities. This allows Jay to be fully engaged in many roles: training, partnership development, opening up new countries, and helping plant the first one million churches via DCPI training. We have so much to praise God for.
    • That we were able to complete and begin to promote our DCPI World Impact Video. As we prepare to highlight the video at an upcoming conference in the Middle East, you can view the video today on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKq683ze4RE&t=5s
  • Prayer:
    • For the success of Jay’s trip to a Middle East conference for nearly 200 international church pastors and church planters. For many, this will be their first time seeing the ministry of DCPI. Jay will be co-leading a workshop on the DCPI ministry. Pray that we will communicate effectively, and be able to find partner organizations that will take our training and help lead church planting movements, especially in countries where we have not yet held trainings.
    • For the success of Karen’s trip to Colorado Springs. Karen will be in a supportive role for a fundraising dinner there. We believe that DCPI has a unique and vital role to play helping bring the Great Commission to fulfilment. Please join us in prayer for the right people to be there, for the Lord’s purposes to be lifted high, and for a strong sense of co-laboring together with great urgency!

Kennedy Salano—316 Transformational Sports Ministry (East Africa)

  • Praise:
    • For the healing of my wife and me, after going through recent health and physical challenges.
    • For a recent successful Vacation Bible School that saw many students rededicating themselves to Christ.
  • Prayer
    • For the success of our upcoming Sports Camp, geared at reaching out to the young people of our community.
    • That we will be able to successfully adopt a school in our community in order to reach out to the students and teachers there.
    • For God’s provision to make 2,000 sports balls for our ministry.

  • Lincoln Christian Academy (formerly Community Christian School), Lincoln, CA (USA)
    • Praise:
      • That our playground was officially open for our students to enjoy on April 1.
      • That our preschool is now licensed, and is now open for business! Thank you for your prayers!
      • That our BBQ fundraiser went smoothly and raised over $10,000! There are so many who came together to make this a success and we are so thankful.
    • Prayer:
      • For our preschool to grow in enrollment. Now that it’s open, please pray for community awareness about our school as we are in open enrollment for both our preschool and elementary. Enrollment is a key factor in funding our program.
      • For our students to grow in Christ and base their values on His standards and not what the world is communicating to them. Pray for wisdom for parents and guardians as they navigate this high-tech but low-personal-contact generation. We have had several students recently pray for their parents to put down their phones and play with them – heartbreaking!
    •

    • Michael and Irina—Slavic Gospel Association (Eastern Europe)
      • Praise:
        • That we finally received our citizenship. We will be picking up our passports soon.
        • For safe travels back from the United States in March.
        • For the health of our family.
      • Prayer:
        • That we will soon be able to reach remote and rural communities. Many of these towns and villages are only accessible by air, and we are still waiting for the validation of my pilot and mechanic certificates, as well as the certification of our two aircraft. The pilot’s license is most important, since I’m able to borrow aircraft from local aviators.

  • Paul and Grace MosesIndia Sports Ministry/Sangita Charitable Trust (India)
    • Praise:
      • That we were able to expand into a fifteenth village to help the widows and widowers there. One woman had a snake in her hut and, due to Hindu attitudes toward snakes, was sleeping out in the open. We came in and built a new hut for her, and she, like so many before her, is now part of the Sangita Community.
      • That on the 28th birthday of our beloved daughter Sangita, we were able to spend it in fellowship throughout the communities we serve. 550 widows and widowers received food provisions that day, and stayed for fellowship, where they heard about the love of Jesus and were reminded of God’s plan to enable Sangita Ministries to care for them.
    • Prayer:
      • For the dedicated staff at both Sangita Charitable Trust and the sports ministry. The workload grows every day, and there is no end in sight.
      • For wisdom, strength, and energy as we run these major ministries in these challenging times.

Ruth Veltkamp—Set Free Ministries (Nigeria)

  • Praise:
    • For the funding to send 128 Warsh Arabic Bibles to central Mali, distributed to students in the training center to use and share with others in the five zones they represent.
    • For giving Ruth the stamina to teach and counsel students almost every day in the ministry training center in Antwerp, Belgium, where there is a large Muslim population. Thank God for the eagerness of these students to learn more about how to interact with Muslims and share with them the Gospel of Christ. Pray for effective witness.
    • For the conversion of Princess’s mother before her death. Early this year, we prayed for Princess, who returned to her dying Muslim mother in Sudan. Thank God for giving her mother three more months, long enough for Princess to explain and demonstrate the Good News. Thank God that her mother committed her life to Jesus before she died.
  • Prayer:
    • For wisdom and guidance for Princess, as her still-Muslim male relatives threatened Princess’s safety after the death of her mother. An “underground” Christian has given Princess a room, but cannot provide for her and her daughter. Pray that Princess finds guidance, encouragement, and work, either in Sudan or Nigeria. Pray that God may give us wisdom and resources to come alongside this sister-in-the-Lord.
    • For encouragement and safety for Jonah and the three more Wise Men from the Middle East who have continued their daily Bible lessons by phone with Umaru as instructor. They have all kept on growing in wisdom and faith in Jesus. Jonah’s wife has left him. His children have declared his blood to be halal, meaning he should be put to death.  Continue to pray that God will work in the hearts of these men’s wives, families, kin and friends to prepare them to join in following Jesus.
    • For the success of an IMANI team of two, who plan to go to a city in North Africa to be joined by the Wise Men from the Middle East and ex-Muslims from all the different countries in North Africa. Pray that as these Arab Christians from the Middle East and from North Africa meet together, they may encourage one another in the Lord. May the Holy Spirit grow them individually and together into the mind and heart of our Lord Jesus Christ.
    • For Akiza as we work toward meeting the financial and legal conditions for him to be released on bail/probation. Pray that he may continue to grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus and be a faithful witness to Resurrection Life wherever he is.

Steve and Dawn Liberti—NAB Conference/Proclaim Ministries (Germany/Global)

      • Praise:
        • For an encouraging and successful advance planning trip to Albania for Steve in February. God is clearly at work in this country, creating many opportunities with a growing number of church partners. We are looking towards an evangelistic campaign later this year.
        • That Dawn had an opportunity to join a Proclaim team to South Africa. She is currently serving in the townships (slums) near Cape Town, partnering with ministries who are focused on reaching youth using ESL training, and life skills which creates witnessing opportunities pointing them towards Christ.
        • For an unusually warm and sunny February here in Germany. Steve has experienced the winter blues/seasonal effective disorder in recent years, and it has been wonderful to get a healthy dose of vitamin D as of late!
        • For a recent visit by a dear brother and supporter from California. We worked together during his visit by serving in a couple of local churches together as well as at BFA where Bianca and Sofia attend school. It is always very encouraging to host visitors and work together for The Kingdom locally here in Germany.
      • Prayer:
        • For a fruitful and productive advance trip to Lisbon, Portugal to discuss potential ministry together with Proclaim, pastors and church planters. Steve and his colleague were invited to discuss what God’s plans. After we prayed and listened for God’s direction, we will bring a team to Lisbon in the autumn to proclaim the Gospel in the public forum, outside the walls of the church. Pray for open minds and hearts.
        • For Dawn’s mission trip to South Africa! She joined a Proclaim team that teaches at-risk young people life skills. Dawn taught sewing and computer skills. The most important part of the ministry was having the opportunity to share Christ with these young people and to connect them to local ministries and churches for on-going contact and discipleship.
        • For Sofia’s spring missions trip to Chennai, India. Sofia joined her school for a trip to work with young children in orphanages and older people in homes. Sofia is a magnet for young children. It was an amazing trip to go and serve often marginalized people who just need love and someone to let them know they care. Part of the trip was to inject spiritual truth into these places and for students to share their faith.
        • For Bianca’s spring missions trip to South Africa with Proclaim International. Bianca joined a Proclaim team that used sports to reach young people in the townships near Paarl. Bianca really enjoyed working with the young athletes as well as help coaches with their leadership abilities. Bianca shared her testimony with students and was an integral part of the team. She also enjoyed the culture and the opportunity to serve.

Thamsing and Ring Dilbung—Church Sports International/Sports Resource Center (East India)

      • Praise:
        • For the success of the recent Church Sports Leadership Training for Pastors, at K S Academy in Dimapur. 25 pastors attended the seven-day training, which was well-received.
        • That the Sports Bible (New Testament) is in the process of printing! We expect it to be available for distribution by the end of June. Please continue to pray for timely completion, as many other activities depend on its availability.
        • For LHCC’s partnership with us as we celebrate God’s faithfulness to Northeast India’s Sports Ministry.
      • Prayer:
        • For the success of the upcoming Third Inter-Church Football Tournament in Diphu, at the Karbi Anglong district in the state of Assam. Through this football tournament, the whole of the church can come together as a true Body of Christ for prayer and fellowship.
        • For the success of the Church Sports Leadership Training for Youths in the Chandel District in Manipur. We expect 35 to 40 leaders to attend. Some church sports leaders from Myanmar (formerly Burma, which borders northeast India) will also be attending the training.
      •
